Popular social media sensations Happy Boys have publicly appealed to Nigerians for forgiveness, acknowledging that they’ve let down their supporters.

Happy Boys went viral following their cheerful video while working as security guards at a restaurant but lost it all following several backlashes, leading to a decline in support.

The duo who was once arrested in Cyprus and later deported while on an academic scholarship pleaded with Nigerians in a recent interview.

“You guys should forgive us, we know we’ve wronged you. We are sad, let’s be sincere. The love and support are not there anymore. We have changed, please forgive us,” they stated partly.

Their plea reflects a desire to reconnect with their fanbase, promising they have reformed and are seeking a fresh start.

How Nigerians reacted to Happy Boys’ plea for forgiveness

Nigeriangod_ reacted: “They don’t need the forgiveness of Nigerians, they bite the hands that feed them and were totally ungrateful towards him. The should go beg that OPM pastor cos they’ve failed in doing fraud and also comedy.”

ill_nojie noted: “These ones are just professional beggars. They keep coming back over and over.”

odukoyaisaac stated: “These guys are just looking to play on Nigerians intelligence…. This is just a publicity stunt.”

pappyjayfresh said: “‘We’ve known that we’ve wronged you guys, but forgive us’. You guys should forgive yourself first. You misused the opportunity given to you. There are more than 200m other Nigerians that are looking for where their next opportunity comes from. So, make una go queue for back again. Nonsense.”
