Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, Ademola Lookman is eagerly anticipating Atalanta’s upcoming UEFA Champions League showdown against Arsenal.
In the UEFA Champions League group stage tie, Ademola Lookman is expected to lead coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s side who are set to face the Gunners at the Gewiss Stadium at 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 19.
Following their 3-2 triumph over Fiorentina on Sunday, Lookman and his teammates are approaching the game with high spirits.
Ahead of the tie, Lookman expressed confidence in their readiness for the challenge, while acknowledging Arsenal’s formidable strength.
“Arsenal are a very strong team, and I know what to expect from them. Playing against a team of that level is always a difficult challenge, but we are ready,” the Nigeria international told DAZN.
“We earned this place in the Champions League thanks to our great last season, and we want to show that we deserve to be here.”
Meanwhile, FC Barcelona have suffered a huge setback ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with Monaco.
It has been reported that Dani Olmo, the FC Barcelona forward, has sustained a right hamstring injury based on tests conducted on Monday morning.
According to Barcelona’s official statement, Olmo is expected to be sidelined for the next four to five weeks.
As a result of this injury, Olmo will miss Barcelona’s upcoming six matches, including their fixtures against Monaco, Villarreal, Getafe, Osasuna, Young Boys, and Alaves.
