Popular Nigerian skitmaker, Nasboi has lamented over the economic hardship plaguing the country.

He said the prevailing hardship should make Nigerians realise that elections are not tribal wars in which people have to vote along ethnic lines.

Speaking via a post shared on his X handle, Nasboi said with the current pump price of petrol he now spends ₦96, 000 to fuel his car and that the fuel gets exhausted within a week.

He lamented that the coping mechanism Nigerians have in the face of hardship is not a blessing but a curse.

The comedian stated that he could not comprehend how people were still smiling despite the hardship in the country.

He said, “If you like if another election come, make it a tribal war. Zombie!! As you be Yoruba or Igbo or Hausa, go buy fuel 200 naira na, or enter market go tell person your tribe make things cheap for you. Shey you see how the sufferings no select who to touch.

“I Dey fuel my car 96k, e Dey finish in less than a week… I’m baffled. I think coping mechanism in Nigeria isn’t a blessing. It is a curse! Because I really wonder how we are suffering and smiling.”
