The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has enjoined the federal government to prioritize alleviating the hardship citizens face daily.
The National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Debo Ologunagba, stated this in his Eid-el Maulud message to Nigerians, to commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed, on Sunday, in Abuja.
Ologunagba urged the federal government to review its policies, especially the hike in petroleum product prices, tax hikes, and tariffs, which have consequential effects on Nigerians.
He noted that Nigerians are going through harsh times as a result of the hard economic policies of the federal government.
The PDP advised Nigerians to remain hopeful and demonstrate love for one another while praying for divine intervention in the nation’s affairs.
“Eid-el Maulud offers humanity, and particularly Nigerian leaders, a rare opportunity to retrace their steps and submit to the Almighty Allah’s will, as exemplified in the Holy Prophet’s life and teachings.
“The PDP charges the Federal Government to end profligacy, curb corruption, and prioritize citizens’ needs by allocating resources to projects and programmes that directly benefit Nigerians.
“Our party urges Nigerians to remain calm, hopeful, and demonstrate love for one another while praying for divine intervention in the nation’s affairs.
“The PDP celebrates Eid-el-Maulud with Nigerians and wishes them happy festivities,” Daily Post quoted Ologunagba.
