Former Kano State governor and New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, visited Governor Alex Otti of Abia State at his country home in Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area.
The visit, which took place on Saturday, was aimed at consoling Governor Otti over the death of former Abia State Governor, Ogbonnaya Onu.
Kwankwaso, accompanied by some close associates, was warmly received by Otti.
The visit coincided with a special reception for 15 indigenes of Abia State who recently graduated from the 6th Regular Course of the Nigeria Police Academy, Kano, and were commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force.
Addressing the new police graduates, Kwankwaso advised them to uphold professionalism and maintain the fear of God in the discharge of their duties.
Governor Otti, in his speech, congratulated the graduates on their achievements and urged them to be exemplary ambassadors of Abia State and to steer clear of unprofessional conduct.
He expressed gratitude to Kwankwaso for his visit, commending him as a patriotic Nigerian.
Responding on behalf of the new officers, ASP Ochiabuto Uche Ejike, the leader of the graduates, pledged to uphold the reputation of the Nigeria Police Force, represent Abia State well, and expressed thanks to Governor Otti for the recognition and support.
