The proactive administrator recently travelled to England and Austria to extend support to the recovering athletes.
His first stop was Plymouth, where he met with 24-year-old Tijani, currently on loan from Czech club Slavia Prague. The tall striker suffered a hamstring injury prior to the 1-0 defeat against Burnley.
Hajji Gafar reassured the young striker of his prayers for a swift recovery.
Tijani Muhamed, who represented Nigeria at the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup, expressed his joy at the visit from the LSFA Chairman.
The journey then led him to Linz, the capital of Upper Austria and the third-largest city in Austria. It was there that injured LASK winger Moses Usor had the opportunity to meet Hajji Gafar.
Usor was elated to encounter the LSFA Supremo, which brightened his spirits and brought a smile to his face.
However, the beginning of the UEFA Conference League home match against Djurgarden was marred for LASK, as Moses Usor became trapped in the turf and was unable to continue playing.
The game against Djurgarden hadn’t even really started when it was already over for Usor. The attacker unfortunately got stuck in the turf in the seventh minute of the game and then remained lying on the pitch with his face contorted in pain.
The 22-year-old held his left knee. The replay showed how the Nigerian twisted his knee.
Shortly after he completed the mission to the three countries, Hajji Gafar wrote via his Social Media handle: “The smiles on their faces is a reassurance to me that I need not worry. They are great Lions. They restored their own confidences themselves.”
“Injuries and challenges are part of football but these warriors have already recovered psychologically, all we need now is to follow the physiotherapist’s advices and they come back stronger then ever,” he added.
