NPFL reigning champions, Rangers FC have reportedly secured the signing of free agent Nenrot Silas, beating competition from Enyimba for the 22-year-old forward.
Silas, who previously played for Plateau United and scored six goals in the NPFL last season, is said to have agreed to personal terms with the Flying Antelopes.
The 22-year-old forward’s free-agent move is expected to be finalized after completing a medical examination at the Enugu-based club.
Ugwueze Optimistic Ahead of Sagrada Esperanca Vs Rangers Clash
Rangers captain Chinemerem Ugwueze has expressed confidence in the team’s preparations for the upcoming CAF Champions League match against Sagrada Esperanca.
After securing a 1-0 victory in the first leg, the team is focused on the second leg at the November 11 Stadium in Belas, Luanda, Angola.
Ugwueze stated that the team has undergone intensive training and is optimistic about their chances in the high-pressure game.
“We are very focused and have put in a lot in preparing for the second leg encounter against Sagrada Esperanca,” Ugwueze told BSN Sports.
“I think that with the intensive training, we have done since the end of the first leg, we are good to go and defend the badge of the club; sure, it’s going to be a high-pressure game, but we have our work cut out, and we are optimistic.”
