AC Milan and French forward, Rafael Leao, has issued a warning to his teammates ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash against Bayer Leverkusen.
Ahead of the UEFA Champions match, which will take place at the BayArena at 8 p.m. later tonight, Rafael Leao emphasized the need for caution when facing Bayer Leverkusen and Nigerian striker Victor Boniface, who has become a key player for the Bundesliga champions since joining them last summer.
As the main striker for Leverkusen, the 23-year-old Boniface is expected to play a crucial role in the upcoming match against AC Milan.
Describing Boniface as a “technical and very dangerous attacker,” Leao acknowledged the threat posed by the 23-year-old Nigeria international and highlighted the importance of being prepared to face the entire Leverkusen team.
In addition to Boniface, Rafael Leao mentioned the danger posed by other key players at Bayer Leverkusen, such as Alejandro Grimaldo and Jeremie Frimpong, emphasizing the need for attention and respect without being intimidated.
“I know Boniface; he’s a technical and very dangerous attacker. Chukwueze is his national teammate, and he’s spoken about him this week,” Leao told the club’s official website.
“We will need to be prepared to face all of their team because they play well, even the wide players Grimaldo and Frimpong, who are very dangerous. They’ll need our attention and respect, but we can’t let them scare us.”
