Ecuador’s U-17 forward, Domenica Arboleda, has confessed that Nigeria’s U-17 girls were tough and fast after being overpowered 4-0 at the ongoing FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic.

As per FIFA.com, Arboleda commended the Flamingos for their impressive strength and speed.

The match, held on Saturday night, showcased the Flamingos’ dominance as they cruised to a comfortable victory.

In a post-match interview, Domenica acknowledged the challenge posed by the Nigerian side, calling them a “tough opponent” with “very fast players.”

“We knew that Nigeria were going to be a tough opponent, they have very fast players. We came in prepared, but it didn’t work. But that’s football, and now we have to focus on the game against New Zealand,” Domenica said.

Despite their preparation, Ecuador was unable to match Nigeria’s speed and resilience on the field.

Nigeria’s performance in the tournament continues to impress, as the team shows a blend of tactical discipline and raw speed, making them one of the standout teams to watch in this year’s competition.

Meanwhile, Ecuador bounced back by thrashing New Zealand 4-0 after the challenging encounter.
